William W. Wollinger, President and Chief Operating Officer of WinnResidential, and member of the Board of Directors, has worked in the property management industry since 1971 and has served the Winn organization for more than 33 years. Mr. Wollinger is responsible for the strategic planning and growth of the company, overseeing operations and managing the company’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Operating in line with Winn’s Guiding Principles, Mr. Wollinger has helped expand the company to become one of the largest and most renowned management companies in the country. Collaborating with the board of directors and senior leaders, he helps to define the company’s vision while ensuring the implementation of the company’s objectives and delivering high-quality services to its clients.

Mr. Wollinger serves on the Executive Council and Board of Directors of the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA), as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Apartment Association (NAA), as well as the Greater Boston Real Estate Board Rental Housing Association, as President of the National Apartment Association Education Institute (NAAEI), as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the WinnCompanies, and as a current member and past Chairman of the Virginia Tech Residential Property Management Advisory Board.

Mr. Wollinger has been honored with many industry related awards, including the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) President’s Award in 2005, the Greater Boston Real Estate Board Rental Housing Association Industry Excellence Award in 2009, the New England Affordable Housing Management Association (NEAHMA) Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011, as well as the 2011 National Apartment Association Education Institute's (NAAEI) Apartment Career and Education Award (ACE).

Mr. Wollinger is a certified Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM) and a Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS).

Prior to joining Winn, Mr. Wollinger served as an officer in the United States Army, with an extended tour of duty in Vietnam as a Medical Evacuation helicopter pilot, flying more than two thousand combat missions. Mr. Wollinger holds a BS degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Patrick M. Appleby, Executive Vice President, has worked in the property management industry since 1982, and has served the Winn organization for more than 20 years. Mr. Appleby is currently responsible for directing property operations for more than 40,000 homes managed under the Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI).

Since 1999, Mr. Appleby has been part of a diverse team responsible for all activities related to WinnResidential's initiatives involving the privatization of military housing for the U.S. Department of Defense, including training, marketing, information management systems and operations. Mr. Appleby also oversees new business activities, development and the implementation of transition and operations plans, as well as portfolio operations for WinnResidential’s MHPI portfolio that currently includes 40,000 military homes.

Prior to joining Winn, Mr. Appleby was a Principal at Boston Financial/Lend Lease Residential, where he was responsible for a diverse portfolio of more than 6,000 apartment homes. In this role, Mr. Appleby also tracked operational results, explored ancillary revenue opportunities and implemented efficient procurement practices for the company’s entire portfolio of more than 40,000 apartment homes.

Mr. Appleby has served on the Military Housing Committee of the National Apartment Association (NAA) since its inception, as well as the NAA’s Apartment Careers Committee.

Mr. Appleby is a Certified Property Manager with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), as well as a Certified Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM) with the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA). He is an active member of the Professional Housing Managers Association (PHMA).

Douglas A. Jones serves as an Executive Manager of WinnResidential Military Housing Services. A Certified Property Manager (CPM) and Certified Defense Privatization Manager (CDPM levels I - III), he currently shares the responsibility for directing the property management and maintenance operations at nearly 40,000 homes at 14 military installations across the U.S., including operations in Alaska and Hawaii, as well as more than 1,000 employees.

Mr. Jones directly oversees North Haven Communities in Fairbanks, Alaska; Fort Hood Family Housing in Killeen, Texas; Campbell Crossing at Fort Campbell in Kentucky; Tierra Vista Communities in San Pedro, California; and Colorado Springs in Colorado.

Mr. Jones has more than 26 years of experience in the real estate management industry, during which he has worked with a variety of commercial, multi-family, for sale and rental properties. Prior to joining Winn, Mr. Jones spent more than 20 years with Picerne Real Estate Group and Picerne Military Housing. He most recently served as Executive Vice President of Picerne Military Housing, where he was responsible for the full range of property management operations across the company’s entire privatized military housing portfolio. In his role, he led Picerne’s property management function for privatized military housing beginning with the company’s entrance into privatized military housing in 1997. He began working exclusively in privatized military housing in 2005.

In addition to his CPM and CDPM designations, Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management, as well as his MBA in Marketing from Babson College in Wellesley, MA. He is also an active member of the National Apartment Association’s (NAA) Privatized Military Housing Committee. Mr. Jones is married with one son and lives in Franklin, Tenn.
