WinnCompanies COO William Wollinger Honored As "Industry Statesman" by the National Affordable Housing Management Association

BOSTON (March 8, 2016) The National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) yesterday honored WinnCompanies Chief Operating Officer William Wollinger as its 2016 Industry Statesman, recognizing his decades of outstanding leadership and service to NAHMA and the affording housing industry as a whole.

Wollinger established WinnResidential, the property management arm of WinnCompanies, 40 years ago and served as its president until the start of 2015, when he was named COO.

He has served on NAHMA's board of directors for many years. He has won numerous awards during his four decades in property management, including NAHMA's President's Award in 2005, the Greater Boston Real Estate Board Rental Housing Industry Excellence Award in 2009, the New England Affordable Housing Management Association Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011 and the 2011 National Apartment Association Education's Institute's Apartment Career and Education Award.

Wollinger received the Industry Statesman award during NAHMA's Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C.

NAHMA also recognized WinnResidential with its 2016 Communities of Quality Award, given annually to a NAHMA Executive Council member who has the most properties and or most newly listed properties on the NAHMA National Recognition Program COQ Registry. Properties qualify for COQ recognition by meeting NAHMA's high standards in physical maintenance, financial management, programs and services, employee credentials and other criteria.

NAHMA is a leading industry advocacy organization for affordable housing management, advocating on behalf of multifamily property managers and owners whose mission is to provide quality affordable housing. NAHMA supports legislative and regulatory policy that promotes the development and preservation of decent and safe affordable housing, is a vital resource for technical education and information and fosters strategic relations between government and industry.
